The DYE-Epsman 1957 Corvette Race Car
Ken Epsman On His Way to Winning the 2002 Monterey Historics in Bob Dye's 1957 Corvette
The Dye-Epsman 1957 Corvette
Ken Epsman purchased the Dye 1957 Corvette from Chip Miller in 2000. Ken hoped to race the car on the vintage racing circuit on the west coast. Ken made a few safety related changes to the car - Ken increased the height of the rollbar and added a fuel cell. To prepare for the 2002 Monterey Historics, Ken had the engine and FI unit rebuilt. Kens work paid off - Ken won the 2002 Monterey Historics, racing against a field of 21 other Corvettes, 3 Ferraris, a MBZ 300SL and a handful of other vintage race cars.

Here is what the car looked like in July 2007, when I purchased the car from Ken:
I intend to continue to race the car, and hopefully not detract from the story so far of the Dye-Swilley 1957 Corvette Race Car.
