1954 CORVETTES EVER BUILT AND WITH ONLY 6 BLUE 1954’s STILL REGISTERED THIS WOULD BE THE 7TH.
Yet another to sell out of the shop that will never be completed by us!!
This 54’ Corvette was bought by me (Joe) from a fellow car restorer and ebayer about 4 months ago for my wife. I
had all the good intentions of restoring it for her but along came a
34’ Ford roadster and since we restore and build traditional 50’s
hotrods it’s one less car to build. So out the corvette goes!!!!!
In
my research on the 54’ Corvette I found that only 300 were ever made in
Pennant Blue also only 100 of the above were ordered with all the
accessories that this one had.
After
I had a friend look in DMV records nationwide, he found that only 6
1954 Corvettes were still registered as of 1990 making this the 7th. once it is put into the system again.
After
talking to a fellow at the Barrett Jackson auctions I was told that the
last fully restored version of a blue 1954 was sold for $280,000.00!!!
So this is what I know about the car from one builder / restorer to another.
The vehicle is complete in every sense of the word. It was an original Texas car and has not been registered since 1969. The car was located and bought out of a garage where it had been sitting up until 6 months ago.
There is no body damage at all and no patches, or cracks of any sort. The gel coat (?) seems to be in great shape and none of the fiberglass is chalking or coming apart.
The convertible top is complete and not rusted out or missing parts. It was stored in the down position all these years. Interior is what it is and all there.
The motor is free and complete along with the automatic transmission and rear-end. We have not tried to start this car nor tow it. It was enclosed trailered to us and placed into our shop.
The frame and suspension are complete and only has surface rust on it as you would normally find under any car. No heavy pitting or decay.
Side curtains are there along with all the parts I have pictured.
We also have an the original old title for the car!

at this auction that I don’t know squat about Corvettes!!! I do Fords, and Flatheads at that, so I am in a pretty small niche.
