Merry Christmas! If you
have ever wanted the opportunity to finish a rotisserie project with
70% of the hard work completed, now is your chance!!! Where to begin?
Let's start with the Rotisserie complete rolling chassis. Every piece
has been media blasted, primed, painted and/or replaced new from
Corvette Central. All brand new brake/fuel lines, hoses, belts,
nuts/bolts, brake parts, exhaust, and tires. Now with the
engine/tranny. Engine/tranny/rearend and accessories have been rebuilt,
including generator, carbs, starter, distributor with NOS vacumm
advance. All new plugs, wires, points and condensor, with the dist.
adjusted on the Sun dist. machine. The engine was completely dismantled
and magnifluxed, blueprint and balanced. Pistons are 30 over...ISKY cam
with new aluminum cam gear. All new rod/main bearings. About the
head...Rebuilt with hardened seats, new springs and valves. The engine
is matching numbers to the car, but the block appears to be a factory
replacement..it only shows an F54 stamping on the vin pad. After the
rolling chassis was assembled, the engine was started and tuned and the
transmission/rear end was checked to make sure that it shifted
properly...no mechanical problems present. Chassis is turn-key ready
for the body. Now the interior. The interior and new convertible top is Al Knock built. All
of the chrome except for the windshield frame was redone, but I
consider the chrome not to be of Concourse show quality. Buyer can make
own interpretation. I believe all chrome pieces to be present. As I
keep going through the boxes/shelves, if I discover anything missing
and/or new, it will be posted on this site/will go with the car. NEW wiring harness...complete Now
the body. The body is in excellent condition, with typical cracks
inherent with this vehicle year. It will take a good body man about 2
weeks? worth of work to bring body up to concourse condition. All body
panels are present and have been stripped. The engine compartment is
already in primer and ready for paint. The complete undercarriage is
ready for paint as well. The items that will need to be addressed
will be the purchase of a brand new windshield, I believe one tail lamp
that I have not found yet, rechrome?, and perhaps other minor pieces
missing. As I have stated, as I sift threw the many boxes of
parts/shelves, anything found will go with car. Anything found after
auction at a later date I will ship to purchaser at my expense.
Hopefully the photos shows many new factory parts coming with vehicle,
including marker lights, headlight buckets, headlight screen and trim
chrome, rubber seals, etc. In my opinion, this car is 70%
complete. The major work has been performed and the only real attention
left is to complete the body and final assembly! I lost my body man so
My loss is your Gain. Anybody looking at this vehicle is well aware of
the value this car will bring when the rotisserie resto is completed.
Good luck and please email with any questions or if you would like more
pics. Happy Bidding!
