for bid is a 1954 Chevrolet Corvette with 58,000 original miles. This
vehicle has its correct original engine(3835911 block, 3836241
head) and has had a previous frame off
restoration. This vette doesn't appear to have been driven
much at all since restoration. The undercarraige, interior, and
engine bay are all in very good shape and well
detailed! The paint is starting to show its age in some
places (a few areas where the fiberglass is under alot of stress is
starting to spider web). Overall the paint is still very presentable
and would fair well at smaller car shows/events. You can tell
when the car was painted it was a real quality job! The
convertible top is soiled and could use a good cleaning or possibly
replaced with a new one. Both side windows are stowed in their proper
case in the trunk. (one window is missing the small vent plexiglass).
Steering wheel has some nicks and chips, nothing major! I have
owned the car since June of this year. When I bought the car
it needed a good tune up so I recently took it to a reputable
local mechanic. $665.00 later the car runs very well! The carbs
were rebuilt. The plugs, points, coil, wires, and oil was
changed. The starter was also rebuilt. I have driven the
car around 20 miles after the tune-up and it was a true head-turning
experience! If you want an investment you can enjoy, this is it!
The headlights, taillights, turn signals, ebrake warning light,
license plate lights, windshield wipers,
odometer,horn, and tachometer all work! This corvette
is the 3rd corvette to have integrated dual-port air cleaners (gm
started this after vin E54S003906)! The doors, trunk lid, and
hood all open and close like they should and align properly. The
car drives really straight and the brakes work very well!
All chrome trim is in very good condition with no pitting. All glass is
correctly dated. Overall this is a very nice corvette. This is the
type of car you can fix a couple of small things and have a serious
show car without breaking the bank!!! I am only selling because I have
