This very original 1954 Corvette has been in the process of a frame-off restoration for the past few years but was delayed due to a divorce situation. Reluctantly the private long time owner must now sell this excellent original Corvette to restore his own personal life. Let’s talk about the details;

 

 This Corvette had its body removed for a frame-off restoration.Frame is completed and body is back on tied down and is now ready to be stripped down and painted to your specifications/standards. The frame on this Corvette was rust-free/never damaged prior to its restoration. It has been properly restored and looks excellent thru-out. The fiberglass on this 1954 Corvette is a rare find as it appears to have had only one small repair in the trunk in its 51 years and it is nice overall original glass throughout the rest of the body. There is still a small glass repair needed (few small minor cracks) in the trunk area before you can paint. The overall condition of the body is nice and it still looks very presentable as it sits. All window glass is good. The chrome is mostly complete and in good condition but should be replated. The interior is partially completed being restored and needs very little to finish as you can see in the pictures. The convertible top is intact in good shape with canvas and bows but needs some restoring. One hood hinge in front hood needs repair and one rear hinge needs small repair as well.  

 

Let’s talk about the mechanicals; 

 

The heart of this 1954 Corvette is its Ultra-Cool “Blue Flame Six” engine. This is the original correct engine/numbers matching that it came from the factory with this Vette in 1954 (Pad #0447425F54YG) cast #3835913. The motor has been properly rebuilt along with the three original Carter Carburetors. The optional Auto transmission (original) is a rebuilt smooth shifting bullet proof powerglide. The starter and generator are correct #’s and original as well. Car is running and driving condition. 

 

Overall this 1954 is an excellent opportunity for a Corvette collector to own a real numbers matching original 1954 Corvette Roadster with correct numbers that is 75% frame off restored(the difficult things already completed), in running and driving condition, at a very affordable price point with  virtually no hunting for hard to get original parts.
